1. Add more smart loads with Shelly smart plug
In addition to the smart port on the Sigen Gateway, you can now integrate more smart loads using Shelly smart plugs, supporting up to 24 smart loads per Sigen system. To get started, make sure your phone’s Bluetooth is turned on so the mySigen App can detect the Shelly plug. Then, configure the Shelly smart plug to connect to the same WLAN network as your Sigen system. Select the smart load type then entering its name and location. Once the loads are successfully added, the consumption of each smart load as well as the total consumption will be displayed on the home screen.
The following Shelly models are supported:
Smart plug:
Shelly Plug S Gen3, Shelly Plus Plug S, Shelly Plus Plug UK,
Relay switches:
Shelly Plus 2PM, Shelly Pro 4PM, Shelly Plus 1PM, Shelly 1PM Gen3, Shelly 2PM Gen3, Shelly Plus 1, Shelly 1PM Mini Gen3, Shelly Pro 2PM, Shelly Pro 1PM

2. Basic parameter settings of each smart load
After successfully adding a smart load and entering its name and location, tap the ‘…’ icon to access the basic settings.
In the Operation Settings, you’ll find two key parameters:
- PV Excess Setting (if PV is available)
- Minimum Running Time
If your system includes a Sigen Gateway, the Backup Management parameter will also be available.
You’ll need to input the starting power and rated power of the smart load. The load will only be turned on when the available PV excess power exceeds the starting power.
The Minimum Running Time defines how long the load should stay on once activated, helping to avoid frequent switching caused by fluctuating PV output. Enabling Backup Management ensures the load remains powered during a grid outage using backup energy. The load will turn on when the battery SOC is above the cut-in SOC, and turn off when it falls below the cut-off SOC.

3. Customized operation mode of smart loads
By default, the smart load operates in Manual Control mode. You can also switch to Time-based mode to schedule automatic operation and flexibly select the power source.
Each schedule allows you to choose from three energy source options:
- Depends on System
- Surplus PV Only
- Battery Level Control
By Surplus PV Only, you can set the starting power and rated power of the load. To ensure operation even when PV excess is insufficient, you can enable Battery Boost, allowing the battery to supplement power during startup. By Battery Level Control, the smart load is powered by the battery and will automatically turn on or off based on the configured battery SOC thresholds.
Additionally, you can configure a Ready by Period by setting an Activation Time and a Ready By Time. This ensures the load runs for at least the defined activation period before the specified ready time, guaranteeing timely completion of the task.

4. Adjust surplus PV power priority
For smart loads enabled to run on surplus PV, you can adjust their priority to determine which load will consume the excess PV power first. Please note that the Sigen EVDC and Sigen Battery must be placed adjacent to each other for proper operation.

5. New charging modes for SigenStor EVDC and Sigen EVAC
Sigen chargers now supports Time-of-Use (TOU) settings, allowing you to configure different charging modes for different time periods. You can create a schedule to charge their car with PV power during the day and switch to grid charging at night when electricity rates are lower. SigenStor EVDC scheduling will also be available soon.
For both Sigen EVAC and SigenStor EVDC, in Fast Charging mode, a new “Battery Boost” button has been added, along with the option to set the maximum energy storage discharge SOC (cut-off SOC).
In PV Surplus Charging mode, new options include the “Battery Boost” and “Grid Charging” button, maximum energy storage discharge SOC (cut-off SOC), and maximum power from grid power. Additionally, in PV Surplus Charging mode, you can prioritize which devices (battery, Sigen EVAC, or SigenStor EVDC) should first utilize surplus PV power by adjusting the priority settings.
Additionally, the real-time power and charging status of the Sigen EVAC are now displayed on the energy flow chart on the home screen.
